We’ve got Superbowl advertising on our minds and if the Superbowl advertisements have taught us anything, it’s that just advertising doesn’t receive as much positive attention as ads that just relay a message. The Superbowl draws in an entire audience who watches the game just for the commercials. Why? Because the viewers are hoping to be entertained!
So what does this mean for social media? It means that a company shouldn’t just use social media sites to talk about their company.
If you know what your audience likes, it is a good idea to post things that make them laugh and keep them entertained. The best way to do this is by integrating funny posts that may also pertain to the industry you are in. This is important because your customers don’t want to hear you promote your company all the time.
It’s my belief that companies should make its clients laugh, because everyone appreciates a little humor.
